We still have some units left if you want to get into APRS.
The OpenTracker+ is an APRS unit that transmits data via amateur radio, or just about any voice-capable radio with an audio input that can legally send data. Usually the OpenTracker+ is connected to the microphone input of a radio (generally a 2-meter handheld or mobile.) Data from a GPS receiver gets encoded and transmitted in APRS format, and in many parts of the world there's an extensive digipeater and gateway network that'll get the data onto the Internet. It has onboard temperature and voltage sensors, and it'll also connect to a number of different weather stations. The biggest new feature in the OpenTracker+ is the ability to receive data from other stations. Position reports are automatically translated to NMEA waypoint strings to be plotted on a mapping GPS receiver. Or, you can load an alternate firmware image to use the device as a very basic KISS modem/TNC.
